GANNI has announced in a recent post, that in the 2025 collection, they will begin offering products made with Celium™, our Premium Cultivated Cellulose. This milestone not only validates the effort and dedication we have put into developing Celium™ but also highlights its potential to transform the fashion industry.
Since launching their "Fabrics of the Future" initiative in 2019, GANNI has been at the forefront of researching and developing materials that shape the future of fashion. In collaboration with Pitch Studios™️ and 3D artist Berenice Golmann, Ganni has conceptualized a vision where fabric innovations meet digital reality. Celium™ is a key part of this initiative, cultivated by feeding bacteria with agro-industrial fruit waste, and can be dyed, embossed, and tanned using existing infrastructure, resulting in a lower environmental impact compared to traditional fabrics.
Each piece of Celium™ is unique, with a biological identity as distinct as a fingerprint. This Premium Cultivated Cellulose, not only offers a sustainable alternative to traditional fabrics but also inspires new creative processes, demonstrating its versatility and applicability in fashion and beyond.
We are excited by the fact that our materials are not only inspiring fashion applications but also other creative processes, such as the 3D design projects by Pitch Studios and Berenice Golmann.
As we move towards a more sustainable future, we are excited to witness Celium™ becoming part of GANNI’s collections, marking the introduction of a new material category in the world of fashion.
