This October, Polybion joined Dutch Design Week (DDW), showcasing Celium™, our Premium Cultivated Cellulose, at the Secrid Talent Podium. As one of the three most promising projects in the Redesign Everything Challenge by WDCD, this recognition brought us to Eindhoven to present our work to a diverse audience of designers, industry leaders, and sustainability advocates.
Located at Klokgebouw, one of DDW’s key venues, the Secrid Talent Podium provided an ideal setting to introduce Celium™ to those shaping the future of design. Alongside material swatches, we also presented prototype wallets made in collaboration with Secrid—a look at how Celium™ functions in real-world applications. This collaboration underscored Celium’s adaptability, strength, and potential as a sustainable option for traditional materials in everyday products.
Being part of DDW allowed us to connect with innovators and trendsetters from across Europe and beyond, each interaction opening new conversations about sustainable design and material innovation. The feedback on Celium’s versatility was inspiring and reaffirmed our mission to drive change through biofabricated materials.
We extend our thanks to Secrid´s team for this valuable platform and their ongoing support for sustainable innovation. Events like DDW make it possible to share our journey with Celium™, contributing to a movement that’s setting new standards across multiple disciplines such as design.
